Junior/Intermediate Turnaround Field Coordinator– multiple positions
The Turnaround Field Coordinator positions in Northern Alberta are contract positions beginning in January of 2021 with our Oil & Gas client. The principal goal of the Turnaround Field Coordinator will be to drive the preparation & execution of the Turnaround mechanical work scope. This position is setup for junior/intermediate professionals looking to gain more field experience.


Hands on involvement in preparation of conceptual / detailed step listings & duration estimates ensuring adequate direct & indirect man hours, materials, tools & equipment
Partnering directly with the internal Planning Team to build quality work packages which will ensure consistent execution
Partnering directly with the designated contractors to ensure clear understanding of work scope strategy, manpower loading and readiness to execute with certainty of success
Partnering directly with the Scheduling team to ensure that the schedule reflects the execution strategy, is properly manpower loaded, is sequences correctly and levelled across the work within the value stream
Ensuring optimized execution strategies which present the least risk to success and greatest chance to deliver safely, with high quality and on or ahead of schedule
Ensuring the accuracy of daily head counts and the Contractor Daily Report (CDR) reflect exactly what labor and services were utilized in the last 24 hours
Establishing and stewarding to leading measures which will provide early insight that we are tacking positively in all key areas
Adhering to a set of established KPI’s and appropriately taking action
Interfacing with other functional groups including Asset Integrity, Engineering, Process Engineering, Operations, IL&PC, Finance Procurement, LEM Administrators & others to ensure success through all aspects of Turnaround Management
Attending Kick Off meetings & setting up the contractors for success


Comply with all Health and Safety Requirements established by the Client
Know and comply with all regulations and legislative requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act for the Province of Alberta and environmental standards
Follow safe work procedures and ensure all personnel comply;
Report any injury or illness immediately;
Report unsafe acts and conditions;
Ensure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is available and is worn where and when required.


Journeyman Trades Certification or equivalent
Knowledge of field activities during turnaround events.


Experience with Maximo or equivalent CMMS is an asset
Experience with, Primavera and MS Project is an asset
Strong computer skills is an asset
Previously work experience in petro / chemical facilities is an asset
