Our large multinational Electronic manufacturing client in Newmarket, ON is currently seeking an experienced Automated Test Software Developer with 1-2 years of software development experience on Linux.

The successful candidate will be highly organized, energetic and work well in a fast-paced team environment that requires taking initiative and managing multiple priorities.

This is a temp to permanent position with regular office hours.

Responsibilities:

Involvement in all areas of the test development process, including procurement, software development, hardware integration, system integration, qualification and installation support for manufacturing.Develops and executes assembly/test strategy for new products including design for manufacture and test analysis and feedback.Develops test processes, test fixtures and specialized tools to automate test development.Design and develop test solutions including both software and hardware elements.Implements production systems to ensure maximum utilization of critical resources, maximum throughput, minimum cost and capacity growth.Integrate tools and code developed by other internal groups or external customers.Debug of solutions using design of experiments, tools, and failure analysis methodologies.Project leadership, including management of (and communication with) team members, suppliers and customers.Collaborate with a highly experienced engineering team to review and provide input on development designs.Apply a continuous improvement mindset to all aspects of the development process.





Qualifications:

1-2 years of software development experience on Linux with minimum one language (Python preferred)1-2 years of engineering development and manufacturing operations support experience preferred Knowledge and understanding of:Engineering Foundation CompetenciesDesign process for systems and printed circuit boardsKnowledge of manufacturing industry and quality standardsAbility to evaluate, diagnose and troubleshoot problemsMaterials and components used in the construction of systems and printed circuit boards and subassembliesAbility to evaluate materials, gather and analyze data and determine root cause of problemsKnowledge of testing software, processes and methodologies and failure analysisKnowledge of IT platforms, database design and programming languages appropriate to area

 


Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environmentDetail oriented, strong organizational skills and time management skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with internal and external clients
