Join Canada’s industry leader in gas distribution and oil production. We are looking to fill an Terminal Operator with a Class 4 Power Engineering Certificate in Port Moody, BC. In this role, you will perform assignments relating to day-to-day operation and maintenance of the terminal equipment and terminal supply/delivery systems including safety, terminal security and product quality. This shift is on a 3 day on 3 days off rotation.

Terminal Operator Responsibilities:

• Performs the functions of unloading railcars (Heavy Fuel Oil).
• Installs and maintains instrument equipment in compliance with all rules and practices.
• Plans, updates, and oversees all activities within his or her areas of responsibility according to the laws, regulations, standards, specifications, and procedures.
• Dedicated and committed to Safety.
• Supports and encourages team effort between operations, engineering, and projects groups.
• Provides input and reviews the control specifications and work practices.
• Is responsible and accountable for control systems as defined in the Work Management Manual.
• Has the knowledge to apply and follow work permits through Permit to Work System (PTWS).
• Ensures the quality and timely completion of work scheduled by the Maintenance Program.
• Develops personal and team technical skills and monitors new strategies for implementation.
• Attends and instructs (as needed) technical meetings, to keep instrument technicians informed of the latest specifications, codes, procedures, and technology.
• Develops and maintains open communications on control issues with team.
• Provides technical support to other Technicians for maintenance and troubleshooting on company's instrument systems.
• Ability to generate Management of Change requests (MOCs) on control-related equipment and installation and can follow up with installation inspections.
• Constructs, monitors, and inspects new installations for their consistency with the mission and recommend upgrades as necessary.
• Acts as a stand-in for the Instrument Lead position as needed
• To support the operations of Terminal as a Terminal Operator. Primary duty is off-loading railcars.


Terminal Operator Qualifications:

• 5 years’ experience of maintaining Instruments and Controls in processing plant or offshore production plant.
• 4th Class power Engineer
•Knowledgeable in regulations applicable to the operations of oil and gas facilities.
• Technical skills and database management.
• Safety orientated.
• Excellent organizational, reporting, and attention to detail skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and analyze.
• Experience with issuing Work Permits.
• Environmental response.
