Project Lead - Pipeline Permitting

Our client is seeking a Project Lead – Pipeline Permitting for work related directly to pipelines. Reporting to a Senior Project Manager, this individual position will provide direction and oversight between project construction management and the land /permitting teams to align requirements to ensure on-time construction. This is a longer-term renewable project and while based out of the Calgary head office, there will be extensive field work. As such, candidates should expect to be away from home for longer periods of time.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Project coordination within prescribed policies, procedures, and management systems related specifically to permitting for construction.
Coordinate and communicate with other functional groups to ensure proper understanding of project construction timelines, requirements and deliverables.
Providing input to the Construction Management organization to support field construction.
Work collaboratively to achieve project objectives with Client business functions including Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Cost Control, Environmental Compliance, Safety Management, and Stakeholder and Aboriginal engagement.

Position Requirements:

A minimum of 10 years of experience on major construction sites and direct experience or exposure to the permitting process.
Post-Secondary Education in Business, Engineering, or equivalent directly related work experience.
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in overseeing and coordinating large scale construction projects, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
Experience interfacing with land and permit functional project delivery teams, is a strong asset.
Knowledge of permit and land acquisition in British Columbia and Alberta.
