Project Coordinator - Sustaining Projects (Fly In/Out)

The Project Coordinator is a full-time initial six-month contract position on the East Coast (this is a fly in/out position). The Project Coordinator is responsible for working directly with Project Managers to close out multiple projects within a specific portfolio related to sustaining work. This position plays a key role in interfacing with technical specialists in various areas to ensure all documentation is in place and completed. Viable candidates must have full project scope experience, from conception through to commissioning.

Responsibilities of the Project Coordinator include:
- Provide support to the PMs with the overall management and coordination of assigned program projects valued up to $3m.
- Monitor and measure performance against all KPI’s and when required take action to ensure project remains in control.
- Utilization of the Client Project Management Framework and documents during all project phases (Order of Magnitude, Prefeasibility, Feasibility, Execution, Commissioning and Ramp-up, Closeout).
- Preparation of Stage Deliverable Checklist at the onset of each phase for review and approval by the PM.
- Development and execution of project deliverables as per the approved Stage Deliverable Checklist.
- Preparation of requests for proposal and scopes of work to be submitted for tender in alliance with the procurement team for goods and services required through all project phases.
- Coordinate and facilitate analysis and ranking of proposals/quotes received and prepare recommendation to award.
- Coordination with project stakeholders and engaged firms to facilitate safe completion/execution of project deliverables.

Key Requirements:
- Post secondary education or technical training in a related program (engineering, technical programs) – requires reading of technical documentation.
- Strong computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite, proficiency with SAP and P6 is an asset
- Excellent social skills with a collaborative mindset, with the proven ability to deal professionally with internal and external partners
