We are currently recruiting for a Project Control Officer located in Mississauga, ON for an on-going contract opportunity. Our ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience as a Project Control Officer for a Project Management Office. Project Control Officer Responsibilities include:

Managing project reporting and analytics
Executing project quality assurance initiatives
Be a performance-driven PMO professional
Deep understanding of PMO best practices, tools and processes
Experience with the use of Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools used to support the management of PMO environments
Have had hands-on experience management business-driven projects
High attention to detail
Check master schedule and work orders, establish priorities, and change schedule according to projects, work order specifications, priorities, and availability of workers, material, or equipment.
Participate in meetings with clients and task members to determine progress of work and identify additional follow up needs.
Provide general administrative support including monitoring calendar, setting up meetings, making travel and/or meeting arrangements, entering time and filing expense reports.
Track and reconcile financials.

Project Control Officer Qualifications:

Experience introducing PPM toolsets to PMO environments
As a PM had previous experience delivering large deployment projects
Trained and consulted PM’s on project financials and budgetary concept
Excellent communication and Presentation Skills
Ability to work individually as well in a team environment
7 years of professional experience in the IT PCO Project Control Officer role, supporting medium size projects
7+ years of overall professional experience, Project Management, Project Coordinator
Knowledge of key principles of agile,waterfall, governance and compliance
Hands-on experience working with MS project tools: SharePoint, Excel, Word, Power Point, MS Project and Visio.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of finances.
Knowledge of and experience with monitoring the vital signs of an IT project.
Knowledge and experience with IT project administration and management.
Project Management skills.
