Our client in Prince George, BC is currently seeking an experienced Production Technician to add to their team. The Production Technician is responsible for providing direction in the troubleshooting and repairing of locomotives, as well as be responsible for the material management on site.

Responsibilities of the Production Technician job may include:

Assist shop personnel in the troubleshooting of equipment failures
Provide locomotive technical support to customers, as required
Monitor in-shop locomotive status
Assure the proper parts and tools are used during repair processes
Assure special programs or required field modifications are being implemented
Request spare parts as needed from the distribution centers
Coordinate on site inventory
Return defective or failed parts to assigned repair points
Other duties and responsibilities as required

Production Technician Job Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1-year technical experience
Strong problem-solving skills
Able to read, interpret and troubleshoot data at subsystem and system levels
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient in understanding and interpreting basic written technical information
