Product Designer Skills

Understand and analyze user needs and business requirements and translate them into desirable, viable and feasible experiences.
Sketch, design and prototype solutions for multiple platforms.
Employ a user-centered design process to support the overall business strategy.
Stay on top of emerging UX design methods and trends.
Collaborate on end-to-end iterative UX projects, including persona creation, experience mapping, wireframing, and high fidelity prototyping.
Present and iterate designs based on peer review, user research and user testing.
Advocate and encourage empathy for the end user.
Seek out and leverage the insights from our research and analytics teams to inform your designs.
Build strong, collaborative relationships with external vendors.
Contribute and improve UX design standards and guidelines.

Product Designer Qualifications

A Bachelor degree in HCI, CS, Design, or other relevant field, or equivalent experience.
A portfolio of UX design work samples for web and mobile applications that demonstrates a proven track record of simple design solutions, featuring interaction design work.
Passion for solving design problems while understanding that great experiences come from collaborative decision-making.
The ability to use pencil and paper for sketching ideas and lo-fi prototypes, and knowledge of digital design and prototyping tools.
The capacity to articulate design decisions and rationale to non-design partners and peers.
An appetite for technology and desire to stay on top of evolving visual design best practices and global mobile product trends.
Motivation to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project milestones and deadlines.
Knowledge of user-centered design practices, usability, and accessibility.
UI Background
Designing for Web

Product Designer nice to haves:

Experience designing for Web.

Experience with information architecture an asset

experience with web-apps and/or dashboard an asset
UI background and asset
high ownership and initiative
Experience working in Figma

Ability to think at a high level about product strategy and vision.
