Materials Coordinator Job in Edmonton, AB

Roevin is currently looking to fill a Materials Coordinator Job in Edmonton, AB. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Materials Coordinator on oil & gas projects. The Materials Coordinator will be ensuring material is staged in a timely manner according to the schedule to ensure smooth transitions from the storage area to the work area and vice versa. This is a long-term contract with a work schedule of Monday to Friday.

Materials Coordinator Job Responsibilities:
• Verify materials availability for all scheduled outage/planned and emergent work
• Plant equipment maintenance strategies where requested
• Coordinate effective and efficient logistics requirements for Routine and Shutdown work
• Consult with Procurement, OEM and vendors to develop best practices, procedures and standards
• Provide frequent updates on material availability to required parties
• Identify opportunities to consume Business Line Materials and destock inventory
• Influence B/L to select materials on hand or from preferred vendors
• Coordinate with logistics coordinator
• Timely requisitions for break ins
• Identify SAP data issues

Materials Coordinator Job Qualifications:
• 10-15 years of closely related professional experience
• Bachelors’ degree required
• Broad knowledge of SAP material catalogs and search tools
• General knowledge of how and where materials are used in the plant
• Advanced time management skills
• Problem solving skills
• Advanced written and oral communications skills
• Influencing with and without authority
• Organization skills
