Manufacturing Engineer

Roevin Recruitment is currently searching for a Manufacturing Engineer for our client – a leader in their specialized manufacturing technology in Vaughan, ON. This position will improve manufacturing safety, quality, delivery, cost and speed by measuring, analyzing, designing, implementing and controlling improvements to automated and manual manufacturing processes, equipment and systems. Also, to design and implement new processes, equipment and systems as needed for new production requirements, while bringing a hands-on approach and a practical implementation.


EXPERIENCE – Manufacturing Engineer

- 3+ years of process improvement experience within injection molding or similar industry including process improvement, waste elimination, continuous improvement,
- Degree or Diploma in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering. P. Eng would be an asset.
- Understanding of injection molding methods and processes.
- Must have good knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and JIT manufacturing (certification is an asset)
- Practical hands-on skills and knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool design
- Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques
- Project Management skills (PMP an asset)
- Troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of CAD Programs (Solidworks, AutoCAD)


RESPONSIBILITIES – Manufacturing Engineer

- Measure and evaluate automated and manual processes and systems to identify gaps to requirements and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with design engineering and stakeholders to design and implement improvements, including tooling equipment repairs, modifications or upgrades.
- Use hands-on skills and knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool design
- Work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to implement improvements.
- Design and implement solutions for new production requirements, working with Project Management and internal stakeholders.
- Hands-on implementation including installation, optimization, production qualification and hand-off, maintenance, sustainment and end-of-life.
- Organize and manage manufacturing workflows and resource requirements.
- Train and lead staff in new and existing processes and equipment
- Upgrade systems and processes with new technology
- Observe all policies and ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations.
