Maintenance Scheduler - Utilities and Power

The Maintenance Scheduler position in Calgary, is a full-time, one-year term position. This purpose of this position is to provide logistical support and coordination for long-term maintenance strategies within a utilties/power discipline. This technical individual will work closely with members of various internal teams to align work schedules for optimal results within execution and regular operating timeframes.


- Manage weekly schedules using scheduling software (SAP)
- Compile and facilitate daily / routine maintenance schedules in Maximo by value streams and by various crafts/department and disciplines for preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance.
- Align preventive maintenance (PM’s) and corrective maintenance (CM’s) work with operations cycles as required.
- Obtain manpower levels from execution and update / optimize maintenance work schedules.
-Conduct weekly schedule review meetings with maintenance execution and operation teams for each value stream.
-Issue draft and final baseline weekly schedules for each value stream to all the stakeholders including maintenance execution and operation teams.
- Review six week look-ahead schedules with planning, operations and execution to prioritize and balance planned work.
- Review the work order backlog with maintenance planning teams to determine aging, criticality, priority and scheduling needs.
- Prepare weekly schedule compliance dashboard and reports for longer term maintenance and communicate to all the stakeholders


- Technical diploma or Journeyman Power System/Electrician Certification with 5 to 8 years of experience.
- Software knowledge including SAP (ideally) and MS Office Suite.
