Junior Engineer- Control Systems/Cyber Security

The Junior Engineer- Control Systems/Cyber Security in Burnaby, B.C, is a contract position for approximately two (2) years. The key tasks of this position are design work and the provision of technical support to perform field reviews. This work is specific to industrial controls including PLCs and upgrades.

Please note: this position has not been allocated living or relocation assistance.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Develop solutions by using initiative and judgement to perform tasks including developing designs, analyzing and resolving problems, and interpreting engineering specifications.
Assist project or operations management to meet safety, cost, quality, and time objectives by proposing changes in plans and estimated costs, recommending payment for work completed by contractors, preparing progress reports, coordinating work schedules and other similar tasks.
Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating with internal and external stakeholders and articulating their needs in the design of the work specifications to support completion of quality projects safely and within budget and on time.

Additional Qualifications:

Experience with industrial control systems, industrial networks, and configuration and integration of intelligent electronic devices.
Engineering background (registered) from an Electrical or related discipline.
Registration with an engineering association (transferable to B.C). This includes EIT and P.Licensees.
