Instrumentation Tech/ Specialist

The Instrumentation Specialist job in Calgary, AB, is a full-time, 6-month term position (with the potential for extension). In this role, you will report directly into a Manager of Asset Strategy and be responsible for the electrical/instrumentation assets within the Business Unit. There will be some travel to site required.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Work with Vendors to create spare parts list for each maintenance significant asset.
- Rationalize spare parts.
- Ensure that material masters are created for identified spares and linked to SBOMs in SAP by master data group.
- Ensure that order controls are set up for all critical parts by working with master data group and SCM.
- Develop Equipment strategies in collaboration with maintenance and reliability group at site.
- Develop SIF procedures and check sheets for SIL rated assets in collaboration with site Maintenance and Reliability team.
- Develop maintenance procedures and check sheets for all PM related tasks in equipment strategies
- Perform field walk downs wherever necessary to assess the feasibility of performing a PM.
- Provide inputs to Planners to develop PM programs.
- Participate in HAZOPs and model reviews as and when required.

Experience Requirement
- Minimum 5 years of hands on maintenance experience in oil and gas/ petrochemical / mining / process industries with related education/designation (Certified Engineering Tech)
- Conversant in SAP or any other equivalent ERP tools
- Experience in Meridium is an advantage.
- Knowledge of RCM, FMEA is an advantage.
