Instructional Designer

We are in the hunt to fill a contract Instructional Designer Job in Calgary, AB. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of ten years of experience as an Instructional Designer with experience supporting industrial infrastructure and/or energy sector companies. The Instructional Designer will be responsible for developing overarching learning strategies, charters, analyzing, designing, developing, and updating learning materials for the business, field, and IT solutions. Our client is renown oil & gas company.

This is a full-time long-term contract opportunity.

Instructional Designer Job Responsibilities:
• Interview subject matter experts
• Review requirements documents
• Perform business process needs assessments and gap analyses
• Develop and implement overarching training charter and strategies
• Participate in application user acceptance testing
• Develop courseware
• Facilitate training delivery

Instructional Designer Job Qualifications:
• Ten years of experience in learning design (technical writing and editing)
• Post-secondary education in Instructional Design, or related field
• Experience designing and delivering technical, safety, and organizational learning programs
• Previous experience developing technical/business standards, policies, and practices
• Experience supporting industrial infrastructure and/or energy sector companies
• Project and Change Management experience
• Knowledge of advanced learning technologies
• Knowledge repositories (SharePoint, Content Server, INC, ServiceNow)
