Our client is currently hiring an Industrial Paint and Blast Manager for their Nisku location. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity. Our client is a leading provider of industrial services to clients across Canada and the United States. They are an industry leader in the development and management of industrial coating solutions providing high quality surface perpetrations and coatings for industrial projects across Canada. We are looking for local candidates for these opportunities as no LOA or relocation reimbursements will be provided.

The Industrial Paint and Blast Manager essential responsibilities may include:

Building the business for paint and coatings department, gathering new leads and managing the shop
Manage planning estimating and bidding of their projects, as well as manpower, creating organizational and program budgets in collaboration with the executive team, and providing hands on support to their department
Create organizational and program budgets in collaboration with the executive team.
Ensure organizational effectiveness by providing leadership for the organization's day to day functions.
Assist in the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices.
Use previous experience of maintenance products (coatings and linings products, scaffolding, insulation materials, etc.) to manage production, potential problems, and inspection requirements.
Develop and administer project budgets, fiscal controls, contracts, and quality control provisions.
Prepare Critical Path Method schedules and be able to prepare and assemble information in the required format.
Examine and inspect work progress to ensure that specifications are met.
Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day management of multiple projects; monitor and coordinate work performed by engineering, supervision, vendors, and regulators.
Authorize the issuance of contracts, purchase orders, and change orders, and approve contractor invoices for payments.
Maintain open and productive relationships with customers.
Develop estimates and execute turnarounds or other small projects.
Collect and report key continuous improvement initiatives within the project.
Research and prepare various reports as required by senior management and customers.

Industrial Paint and Blast Manager Job qualifications:

Minimum 10 years’ direct technical experience; considered a subject matter expert.
Minimum 5 years Management experience in an Industrial setting.
PMP designation an asset.
Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies.
The ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization.
Able to work in an environment which may require hearing protection devices.
Ability to work in diverse work groups and settings.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to be adaptable to changing priorities.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Must be able to successfully complete required pre-hire testing and Criminal Background check.
