HVAC Mechanic


The HVAC mechanic position, based in Kenansville, North Carolina, is a permanent full time position with our client. The position is responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing boiler systems and HVAC equipment in a large manufacturing facility. Extensive prior experience in a similar role is required.

Roles and Responsibilities of the HVAC mechanic position include:
- Install and maintain boiler systems and HVAC systems
- Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, operations manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications to ensure efficient equipment operation
- Perform pre-functional inspections, commissioning, and startup of boiler and HVAC systems
- Diagnose equipment failures
- Perform routine maintenance
- perform other duties as needed including but not limited to startup, inspection, commissioning, repairs, and daily maintenance for high/low pressure steam systems and hot water boilers as well as HVAC systems

- 5-10 years of prior related experience installing and maintaining HVAC and boiler systems
- Strong communication skills
- Strong commitment to safety and an excellent safety record
