Roevin Recruitment is currently searching for a Human Resources Manager for our client, to join their team near Ingersoll, Ontario. This position maintains and enhances the organization’s objectives by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs and practices.


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED – Human Resources Manager

- 5+ Years of progressive Human Resources Management experience in a non-union manufacturing environment.
- Experience in an automotive facility is preferable
- Proven ability to positively influence the workplace culture.
- Strong Health and Safety experience.
- Able to successfully interact with others at all levels of the organization to develop effective working relationships.
- Maintain a positive focus on the overall needs of the organization, the employees and the community.
- Ability to exercise flexibility, initiative, good judgement and discretion in all matters.
- Demonstrated experience in analysis and planning with ability to analyze and anticipate situations, define problems and objectives, recognize alternatives and formulate solutions.
- Ability to work effectively as a team and independently.



RESPONSIBILITIES – Human Resources Manager

- Ensure that directives, programs, and requirements are implemented, maintained, and applied fairly.
- Compile and present HR/H&S metrics/KPI’s monthly to management team, and report results on a monthly basis / as required.
- In conjunction with Corporate HR develop strategic plans to implement improvements to the HR Department processes and practices.
- Responsible for workforce management, manpower planning, as well as contingent workforce planning.
- Oversee the activities of Health, Safety, and Environmental Relations, Training and Administration support.
- Plan, coordinate, and present at monthly meetings.
- Advise, assist, and provide support on the interpretation and administration of company policies and procedures.
- Monitor HR policies to ensure appropriateness and make recommendations for changes if necessary.
- Recommend and organize training and analyze training gaps.
- Ensure that effective communication systems are in place and kept updated.
- Responsible to ensure that positive employee relations techniques are in place and practiced.
- Oversee onboarding and off-boarding programs.
- Provide advice to leaders on progressive discipline policy and prepare appropriate documentation.
- Responsible for Attendance Management as well as bi-weekly payroll processing
- Assist in the development of policies, action plans, and strategies.
- Oversee the recruitment, selection, and hiring practices for internal and external hiring.
- Assist in wage and benefit reviews and planning.
- Responsible for overseeing ISO 14001 program and assisting as needed with system development and audit process.
- Responsible for overseeing, ensuring compliance, and implementing improvements to the Health, Safety, Ergonomic, and Environmental Programs in place at the facility.
