HR Manager

Roevin is looking to hire a HR Manager for our client QC. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the successful candidate will lead the site’s human resources function to deliver services to build a high-performance workforce by positioning HR as strategic business partner.

- Provide expertise and advice on human resources and employee relations to the site management to support the achievement of production objectives, as well as the workforce objectives.
- Promote and provide a safe workplace, seek improvements, and champion the Health & Safety Program.
- Promote compliance with the collective agreement and sound union/management/employee relations. Manage the collective agreement renewal process.
- Maintain a site-wide communications program to inform, motivate and engage all concerned.
- Prepare and implement a yearly human resources plan aligned with the organization and site priorities and objectives.
- Direct the performance management, talent development and succession planning processes to meet needs for competence across the site workforce.
- Align administration of compensation and benefits with policy.
- Support the recruitment and hiring process.
- Ensure conformance with all pay equity requirements.
- Ensure conformance with all Bill 101 requirements.

- Education: Graduate university degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: 8-10 years in an industrial unionized environment, with proven HR and Labor Relations experience.
- Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage priorities.
- Leadership and strong influence skills.
- Interpersonal and communication skills.
- Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Bilingual: English and French (spoken and written).
