Financial Analyst

Position Title: Contractor - Analyst General Accounting

Job Overview:

We are looking for a motivated individual to be the subject matter expert on Functional Allocations. As a key member of the General Accounting team, you will be challenged to provide critical insights, advanced business support, influence key decisions, and planning and performance reporting in relation to Functional Allocations.

Key Accountabilities:

Execute the month end financial reporting process for Functional Allocations, ensuring allocation cycles ran properly, reconciling with Functional OS&G results and delivering the Allocations Stewardship to the Functions and Business Units
Update allocation drivers quarterly, including cost center changes, to be reviewed and signed off by Manager, General Accounting as part of SOX controls
Act as subject matter expert on Functional Allocations to ensure consistency across the Company
Function as an active participant on project teams providing guidance and advice on Allocation impacts
Working with the Functions, develop and deliver the annual Allocations budget and 10-year business plan to the Business Units
Prepare various year end reporting and participate in annual audit reviews


Required Qualifications/ Experience and Education/ Skills and Knowledge:

A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
Six or more years of experience, accounting related preferred
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, preferred
Proven ability to develop strong working relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders and key business contacts
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
A positive attitude, acute attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments at the same time

Preference for:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced Excel skills including knowledge of formulas, pivot tables
Experience with or an understanding of SAP fundamentals
