Field Operator Job in NWT

Roevin is currently seeking a Field Operator for a current opportunity in NWT. The ideal candidate will have their 4th Class Power Engineering or Petroleum Engineering Technology certification and a minimum of 3 years of Field Operator experience.

Field Operator Job Responsibilities:

Operation of equipment and wells
Implementation of daily work objectives, housekeeping, safety, health, environmental and security
Actively participate in daily toolbox meetings and safety meetings
Identification and implementation of corrective and optimization actions
Routine use of maintenance skills while performing simple maintenance activities
Reporting of alarm, emergency or emergency shutdown systems
Clear and concise communication during shift crossover
Coordination, control and monitoring of maintenance jobs
Log book reporting of operational events and abnormal situations or deviations
Obtain product samples for laboratory analysis
Actively participate in emergency response activities
Reporting of incidents internally and escalate awareness as required
Inform and consult with Operations Shift Supervisor regarding operations activities
Effective communication with team so that issues and actions can be addressed appropriately
Provide information regarding well producing issues, production rates and condition of the well
Ensure thorough well problem diagnostics
Maintaining of wellhead and well surface equipment
Assist and support ongoing Wellwork operations as needed
Maintain high standard of facility housekeeping and environmental oversight
Comply with business controls policies

Field Operator Job Qualifications

4th Class Power Engineering or Petroleum Engineering Technology Certification
Minimum 3+ years of Field Operator experience
Good communications (oral & written)
High level of Safety, Health, Environment understanding
Understanding of pipeline operations
Understanding of safety and operations management tools and processes
Understanding of Emergency Preparedness Procedures
Working knowledge of Excel, MS Word, Email
Strong troubleshooting / analytical skills
Valid driver's license and safe driving record are required
