Our large Oil & Gas client in Fort McMurray, AB is currently seeking an experienced Expeditor to add to their team. This role will primarily be responsible for supporting the Projects team.

As there will be no LOA, accommodations, or relocation reimbursement provided for this contract role, local candidates are preferred.

Responsibilities of the Expeditor job include, but are not limited to:

- Reviewing the Material Visibility report and confirming the materials arriving on schedule
- Arranging transportation, notifying warehouse of arrival and any special unloading requirements (ie cranes for unloading large items)
- Following up with Fabrication vendors to ensure the production schedules and milestones are met
- Working with the full SCM team to ensure projects are delivered on time
- Arrange the movement of material between locations
- Maintain good relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Keep accurate records

Expeditor Job Qualifications:

- Minimum 3-5 years direct experience
- Ability to work within a multi-discipline team
- Attention to detail is critical
- Knowledge of applicable commercial legislation, negotiation of contracted terms and conditions, and award of commitments
- Strong negotiating skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to successfully complete required pre-hire testing and Criminal Background check
