The Engineer – Mine/ Tailings Development job in Fort McMurray, AB is a fulltime contract position with our client. Candidates must have a minimum of 2-5 years in a similar role. Please note that this position is open to local candidates as well as those that prefer camp/ flights (from Edmonton or Calgary hubs)

Responsibilities of the Engineer – Mine/Tailings Development

- Generate Engineering Work Packages (EWPs)
- support project management and engineering design tasks.
- Provide design support using mine planning software,
- Translate strategic long-range project plans into summary documents to support the gated project development process


- A degree in Mining or Civil Engineering
- good understanding of standard project execution
- Microsoft office products and Cad Software
- Minescape mine planning software experience an asset
- 2 – 5 years’ experience in mining/tailings or large earth moving environment combined with support roles in project management execution
- Good written/ verbal communication skills
- Ability to work as an Independent Contractor
- Ability to work a Monday-Thursday rotation (4X10)
