The Document Control job in Fort McMurray, AB is a full time contract position with our Oil & Gas client. In this role, the Document Controller will assist the Turnaround team ensuring proper documentation and processes are followed. Please note that candidates must live in the Wood Buffalo region as camp and flights are not applicable to this role.

Responsibilities of Document Control

Controlled Maintenance document management
Understanding and supporting Maintenance documentation requirements
Data Clean up
DMS workflow initiation and review cycle maintenance
Scanning and PDF of native file records
Archiving and sustainment of Controlled Maintenance records
Work practice and checklist development
Facilitate with Project Integration, Operations, RPD, Maintenance, Projects and Master data in review and maintenance of DMS files
Support corporate retention and initiatives


Minimum grade 12 education and 2 - 5 Years work experience in an Information or Records management role, or similar.
Broad knowledge of Document Management Standards processes and practices
High School diploma/Trade School and related courses
Proficient in the use of Electronic Document Management Systems, Livelink is preferred
Previous exposure to SAP & Equipment Master Data is an asset
Superior communication, administration and organizational skills required
Ability to handle several tasks concurrently in different environments. Impact of error demands attention to detail
Reside in the Wood Buffalo Region
Candidates should be able to start ASAP
Should be able to work after regular time (weekend coverage/night shift coverage)
Regular shift will be 8 hrs shift. During Turnaround execution, may need to work up to 12 hrs shift schedule including weekend and night shift.
