ROEVIN (Engineering, Skilled Trades and IT recruitment) is looking to fill a Controls Technician position for our client. Position is full time permanent. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.


Controls Technician - Job Introduction
To repair and troubleshoot equipment and machinery efficiently, safely and in accordance with the plant standards, design electrical circuits and PLC programs for machines, work on projects and improvements.

Controls Technician role - Major Responsibilities
- Establishes and follows-up full project implementation including timing, concept, feasibility, design, specifications, construction and commissioning
- Maintains and upgrades PLC software: assist in training of staff on electronic equipment
- Analyses, records and charts documentation required for maintenance records and projects
- Services, maintains, repairs, installs and tests new or existing equipment and verifies conformance to specifications
- Complete repairs, modifications and installations as required


Controls Technician role - Knowledge and Education
- College diploma in industrial/electrical controls

Controls Technician role - Skills and Competencies
- Able to work in various locations within and outside the plant
- Proven of record of PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens) or CNC controls (Fanuc, Siemens)
