The Adecco Group in Canada is Recognized as Great Place to Work® Once Again

April 27, 2017 – The Adecco Group in Canada announced today that it has been recognized among them. Based on employee trust and overall corporate culture, the annual list from the Great Place to Work® Institute Canada profiles the country’s best organizations to work for. Adecco was first included on the list in 2014. This year, The Adecco Group - along with its specialty brands Adecco, Adecco Professional and Roevin Engineering & Technology - is recognized on the Top 50 list for Large and Multinational organizations.

This year, the Institute received over 400 nominations and participation from more than 60,000 employees – making it the definitive list of exceptional work environments in Canada and Adecco’s placement on the Top 50 that much more impressive.

“We are honoured to be included once again in the Great Place to Work® list of 2017. It recognizes that Adecco’s culture, which emphasizes trust, ethics and team collaboration, is appreciated by our people” said The Adecco Group’s Vice President of Human Resources and Legal, Nicolette Mueller. “In today’s market, top organizations across the world have identified that to achieve overall success companies require happy, engaged and motivated employees.”

For other employers looking to join the ranks of Canada’s best workplaces, The Adecco Group offers the following advice:

  1. Decisions should be driven from the ground up: engage with your employees and establish concrete actions plans for implementing their feedback;
  2. Communicate often and honestly about both positive and challenging developments in your business and industry to build transparency, camaraderie and trust;
  3. Provide occasions for bi-directional feedback and recognition of efforts outside of formal reviews;
  4. Encourage opportunities for staff to reset, play and access wellness programs while providing a measurable work-life balance; and
  5. Channel your organization’s strengths into supporting the community. When staff are given opportunities to make a real difference, their dedication to their work becomes intrinsic and adds an element of heart to the workplace.

The 2017 Great Place to Work® list was announced at a gala dinner last night at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, which The Adecco Group in Canada used as an opportunity to congratulate the other recipients.
