Pride, colleague involvement and an environment of trust help certify Adecco Canada as a Great Workplace

Toronto, Ontario—January 23, 2017. Adecco Canada—the country’s leading provider of workforce solutions—is proud to announce that they have been certified as a GREAT WORKPLACE after a thorough and independent analysis conducted by Great Place to Work® Canada. This certification is based on direct feedback from employees, provided as part of an extensive and anonymous survey about the workplace experience.

As a company that helps Canadians find fulfilling employment opportunities and organizations create strong workplaces through top talent, Adecco Canada’s certification as a Great Workplace reaffirms their internal achievements in these domains as well. With employee trust and engagement being a key focus for Adecco Canada, participation in the Great Place to Work® Institute’s survey over the past 5 years has helped to measure their progress via annual feedback from colleagues. Their achievements during this period have demonstrated their advancement and success: Adecco Canada has been recognized as one of the Best Workplaces in Canada, a Best Workplace for Women and now a Certified Great Workplace.

Workplace culture, colleague engagement and qualifications for various Great Place to Work programs are run by a dedicated committee at Adecco Canada with heavy representation and buy-in from the leadership team. According to the organization, it is this level of commitment and care for the program—along with the direct involvement of colleagues in decision making—that have driven these notable accomplishments.

Sandra Hokansson—The Adecco Group in Canada’s President and Country Manager—echoed that sentiment. “Adecco colleagues bear tremendous responsibility in their day-to-day work as their efforts directly impact the lives of countless Canadians through the meaningful employment opportunities they provide,” she said. “This important objective drives our staff in their efforts, and in return, we strive to create an environment where each member of the Adecco family feels fulfilled, welcomed and appreciated. When our staff are both proud and satisfied at work, they carry our organization’s message, purpose and good work into society. That is why engaging our colleagues is a Global strategic priority for Adecco, and we are thrilled with what this certification demonstrates: that we are doing right by our staff so they can continue their impactful work.”

Adecco Canada further notes that the data received from the annual Trust Index Survey (conducted by the Great Place to Work® Institute) has been the catalyst for various initiatives that have improved not only workplace culture but also key business performance indicators such as greater employee attraction, amplified client satisfaction and increased employee retention rates.  By fostering an environment where employees trust their leaders and are proud of what they do, Adecco Canada has realized tremendous achievements in workplace culture.
