Description:
We are currently seeking applications for the position of Senior Civil / Municipal Design Engineer from qualified individuals. In this position you will be responsible for the design and project management of sanitary sewer and storm water systems, water systems, roads and other infrastructure.
Duties:
• Municipal Infrastructure knowledge including water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, storm water management, highways and roads;
• Technical report preparation;
• Cost monitoring, including control and schedule on projects and communication with the client;
• Contractor relations for projects going through the tendering and construction phases;
• Supervision of design of specific projects, including coordination of drafting personnel, guidance of technical staff, client liaison, technical reviews, preparation of project specifications and resolving various engineering problems;
• Budget management and ensure adequate staff on-hand to properly execute projects;
• Meet client requirements as per contractual agreements;
• Maintain existing business relationships and build new ones;
• Project lead on new engineering projects
Requirements:
Qualifications:
• Degree in Civil Engineering with eligibility for immediate registration as a Professional Engineer with APEGNB.
• Have a desire to succeed and a strong ability to take initiative;
• Familiarity and competence with design software, word processing, and spreadsheets;
• Strong problem solving skills;
• Proficiency with Civil 3D Software will be an asset;
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant municipal engineering experience.
